Shooting colour in Charleroi

Shooting colour in Belgium’s most notoriously post-industrial city. SANCTA is not just making it happen in Charleroi these days, we’ve even got a name for it: Couleurs Carolo.

The multiplatform urban coulour festival Couleurs Carolo tells the extraordinary stories of six ordinary citizens, as they convince their communities to colour six urban spaces. Their painting projects feature in a summer festival celebrating the city’s colours, before being broadcasted as a docureality TV series by RTBF/La Une, eight consecutive Sunday nights throughout the summer. This very affordable city marketing tour de force is supported by a PR and a social media strategy and made possible by Akzo Nobel Belgium, as ever ‘adding colour to people’s lives’.
