About

We are a creative agency with the goal to develop and produce multi-media projects for kids and “former kids”.

A Passion for Culture.
SANCTA’s initial and unique capital is its understanding of and perspective on culture and cultural difference, and its inimitable creativity to present these in both innovative and entertaining formats.

Motion graphics and animation have always been important assets of SANCTA projects, leading to the development of a unique expertise and style of actor-based animation – using 2D (rotoscoping) and 3D (motion capture), which SANCTA baptised Manga Belge. The name refers to both the Japanese graphic novel and its edgy, urban and vivid design, and the Belgian comic tradition. Flavoured with uncomfortably ‘real’ surrealism. This fantastic and, at the same time, almost real feeling is what sets SANCTA’s Manga Belge apart.

Team.
Kristoff Leue is SANCTA’s storytelling engineer and chief producer. After his Masters in Philosophy and Anthropology, an Art School teaching detour and a consultancy job at Texaco, he founded SANCTA in 2002 to bring cultural and media expertise to the entertainment business. The transmedia projects he has produced since, include W@=D@ (cross-media TV show), Can a Man Change the City (multiplatform docuseries) and Couleurs Carolo (participative TV series). Kristoff also creates and consults for brands and agencies, focusing on cultural aspects of campaigns and brand equity. His clients and partners include Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi, Sqills, AkzoNobel, Electrabel, Tourisme Vlaanderen and AS among others.

Dimitri Leue is an acclaimed author and director of stage plays and TV series for children. His work is well known for its integration of video and multimedia. A recent project that earned a lot of media attention – to name just one – was his ‘eco theatre’ road tour Don Kyoto, for which he toured the country on a tricycle. For ZOOks he is providing dialogue, casting and directing.

Thomas Ceulemans is SANCTA’s well-travelled director of photography and editor. His thoroughly entertaining Fingerspitzengefühl has been spoiling audiences from Tanzania to Charleroi.

Olivier De groelard is SANCTA’s in-house 2D and 3D designer.

Trui Kempynck works as office manager and administers operations. In addition to the core staff, SANCTA has developed a working relationship with freelance creatives and talents.
